A Place of Natural Wonders and Magical Carpet Rides

A flight to Cappadocia from Istanbul is less than $100 and takes about a 1hr to get there. We stayed at Carus Cappadocia Hotel. CARUS Cappadocia is in Göreme, Nevşehir, also known as the rocky wonderland shaped by millions of years of natural phenomena. They have several types of cave rooms and terrace suites with the best of technical equipment for your comfort while experiencing pure cave living. Our hotel had arranged for us to do a hot-air balloon ride but because of the weather we could not. If you are ever in Cappadocia you must add this to your list; the hotel can assist with this! While there we paid for a cab to do site seeing for the day. The hotel manager arranged for goremetaxi to pick us up and Mehmet Gedik was the best person for the job! I recommend anyone use him, even to take photos; he’s the best! He drove us to many sites, even places we didn’t know existed, and assisted us in taking photos!
